VDR / SVDR APT

Voyage data recorder, or VDR, is a data recording system designed for vessels required to comply with the IMO and SOLAS Requirements in order to collect data from various sensors on board the vessel. Since these systems are an important element in analyzing accidents or near misses, it is imperative that they are always in order and able to record the required data. To ensure this, annual performance tests (APTs) are mandatory.
